The world of components! [Phase 1]

I’ve tried to work in a loop between 2D and 3D components. It has helped me to understand the tension and compression in different compositions.

We LOVE components! ❤ [Phase 2]

The last picture showed a component that had evolved through the first phase. The first couple of pictures in phase two illustrates a progress in the development of my component. I’ve worked with combining components in a 3 dimensional space.

I’ve also been working on details, how the string is combined with the wood and how two pieces of wood makes the connection with each other.

Working with joints! [A love between the Wood and the String]

Love this joint, four pieces of wood in a connection.

After finishing the details of several joint solutions, I collected all the parameters in one solution (component). I joint several components with each other. I had several observations that I needed to get an answer to.

–          Is the system working?

–          How do I build a component, is there an easier way?

–          The aesthetics.

–          The joint in a system.

–          What are my variables in the component and the system?

I need to work on some joints ;-)

I need to work on some joints 😉

This is my final component. I’ve worked with the proportions and variables in phase two, to understand what I can change, and what changes make to the function and aesthetic abilities of the component.

The next couple of pictures illustrates the system.

A new joint! The joints main purpose is to connect the components in the system. My previous problem was the rotation between the components. I hope this joint will work!

The latest development. I’ve combined the new joint with the component and it works as I expected. VERY NICE!

The bridge is evolving!
